Beautiful Landscape and Nature Photography

Though mainly utilizing the Nikon D700 digital camera, he also captures his images on Velvia and Provia slide films, using Nikon F3 and FM cameras, Nikkor lenses, and a variety of filters. Film images are scanned on a Nikon Coolscan V slide scanner. Select images are scanned by The Color Group on the Crosfield Magnascan 636 drum scanner. His gallery and fine art prints are done by Watermark Press and The Color Group on Epson and Canon professional inkjet printers on gallery papers using pigmented archival inks.

In between photo sessions, Duval's main love is the piano. His CD Notes to Myself is a re-issued of an early work featuring tracks digitally remastered to enhance these intimate musical stories, including a bonus track of new material. Notes to Myself contains haunting melodies, some composed, some completely improvised; all written and performed by Duval.
